WATKINS DIGITAL / INFORMATION

Client Project Terms

Project-specific work is governed by a written Watkins Digital Project Agreement and Statement of Work. This page provides a general summary only. If there is a conflict, the signed agreement controls.

Last updated

Project deposit

Projects generally require a 50% initial deposit before scheduling or work begins. The written agreement sets the specific payment arrangements.

Final payment

The remaining balance is generally due after completion and approval, and before launch, transfer, production deployment, source-file release, or final credential handoff. Project acceptance is documented according to the Project Agreement and Completion & Acceptance Agreement.

Project scope

Only items listed in the agreed scope are included. New pages, features, integrations, automations, revisions, or other additional work may require a change order or additional quote. Any additional charges should be discussed and approved before that work begins.

Timeline and client delays

Standard business websites may commonly be estimated around 2–4 weeks. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline unless specifically stated in the agreement. The timeline begins after the deposit and required content and access are received.

Missing content, credentials, approvals, feedback, branding, or requested decisions can extend the timeline. Larger or more complex work may require additional time.

Revisions

Included revisions depend on the written project agreement. Additional revisions or changes outside the agreed scope may be billed separately after approval.

Third-party services

Hosting, domains, servers, databases, APIs, AI/model usage, email, SMS/phone services, payment processors, premium plugins or software, and external integrations are separate from the development fee unless explicitly included in writing. See Third-Party Services & Ongoing Costs for examples.

Ownership

Custom deliverables transfer as described in the signed agreement after full payment. Watkins Digital may retain reusable frameworks, libraries, utilities, templates, methods, tools, and generic code. Third-party and open-source items remain governed by their own licenses. The agreement should describe any licenses needed to use the finished project.

Ongoing support

Support and maintenance are separate unless stated in the project quote. Support is not automatically included indefinitely after launch. Where a package includes 30 days of support, that included period applies as described in the written agreement; ongoing plans are separate.

Warranty and defect correction

Actual covered defects may be corrected during the warranty period specified in the written agreement. New features, new requirements, and content changes are not defect corrections. Coverage and exclusions depend on that agreement.

Portfolio use

Watkins Digital may display completed public work in its portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing. Confidentiality and any restrictions in the signed agreement remain controlling.

Cancellation

Cancellation, amounts due, refunds if any, and handling of unfinished work are determined by the signed Project Agreement. This general summary does not change those terms.
